The role of a Medical Assistant has grown increasingly important in today's healthcare field. Medical Assistants chart each patient's medical history. Additionally, they take height, weight, pulse respiration, temperature, prepare and administer injections, apply bandages and dressings and record electrocardiograms. Medical Assistants will also be exposed to the opportunity to perform many of the administrative skills so valuable in any busy office.
